Οι Δώδεκα Αποικίες μαζί με το Γκαλακτικα μετά από χρόνια αναζήτησης της 13ης Αποικίας, Γη, κοντεύουν στο τέλος του μακροχρόνιου ταξιδιού τους. Επιτέλους ανακαλύπτουν τη Γη, όμως τα νέα δεν είναι και τόσο ευχάριστα. Η τεχνολογία στη Γη δεν είναι τόσο αναπτυγμένη όσο περίμεναν και η Γη δεν μπορεί να τους προστατέψει από τους Cylons, όπως ήλπιζαν. Τώρα πρέπει να βοηθήσουν τους ανθρώπους στη Γη να αναπτυχθούν τεχνολογικά, ώστε να μπορέσουν να αντιμετωπίσουν τους Cylons και να μην καταστραφεί η Γη από τους Cylons, όπως οι Δώδεκα Αποικίες.
